  1. NEW JERSEY IS FEELING "BUYER'S REMORSE" SAYS SENATE MINORITY WHIP IN EXPLOSIVE INTERVIEW This evening, I met with Senator Allen of Vermont, the 2nd ranking Democrat in the United States Senate who spoke to me on the record about his frustrations with Senator Shakur's public and vocal support for overriding President Biden's recent veto of the Election Integrity Act. In my interview, Senator Allen revealed that he attempted to reach out to Senator Shakur to have him reconsider his position but "before I could discuss the matter again the Senator had taken to Twitter, his Press Release

The A-team has conferred and has agreed that the PM shall be restricted to the UK, but the LotO (for now) will be allowed to have a Senator multi in the US, but may not hold a position in the executive branch. Parliament will start up some time next week, with headlines of Boris and Sir Keir retiring from their positions for various reasons. Stay tuned!

  4. Joe Biden delivered his first major address to Congress today. In that address, technically not a State of the Union address but considered to have a simlar import, Biden outlined a number of priorities for his administration: -On the pandemic, Biden requested that Congress make funds available to permit "every man, woman, and child in America to receive the vaccine free of charge as soon as humanly possible" and called for Congress to "Provide for further relief if an economic recovery is not as quick in coming as is hoped for", including enhanced support for small businesses. Shakur responded to The Hill's request for comment by granting us an interview. "I explain[ed] to Senator Allen that the legislation passed overwhelmingly in both the house and the Senate and that I intended on voting to overturn the veto because I believe our democracy has spoken and that Americans on both sides of the political spectrum support this legislation to protect the integrity of our elections. 9. First of all, congratulations on your nomination. How does a responsible judge interpret constitutional provisions, such as due process or equal protection, without imparting your own values to these provisions? Which sitting Supreme Court Justice do you most want to emulate? Do you believe originalism should be used to interpret the Constitution? If so, how and in what form? What role, if any, should the constitutional rulings and doctrines of foreign courts and international tribunals play in the interpretation of our Constitution and laws? What are your views

While I have no interest in rehashing the details that led to the last general election or the coalition government, the time has come to simplify and correct this process for future general elections.

I know that many of us already know each other somewhat and have a feel for our RL politics, but seeing as there are a lot of new people, I think it’s a good idea to talk about our real-life leanings here! I think it’s good to see what others believe in a respectful, cordial manner. This isn’t a debate, either, so try not to argue.

Veto Message: While I appreciate the intent behind this bill, and would be happy to sign it into law with some modifications, I must express grave concerns about several sections: -The implementation date in Section 297 is already in the past. In consideration of the fact that some legislatures do not meet annually, I would request that this be changed to July 1, 2023 to permit states without annual legislatures time to "pivot". -I have serious concerns about the constitutionality of Section 297 (a)(5), insofar as making the footage in question available to the public upo
