Mr. Powell's infographic and rants on gerrymandering are very misleading. Looming barely under the surface of his claims is a rabid anti-rural bent. We need to protect the voice of rural America if we are going to maintain primary industry.

@CWardNY says that making 2nd amendment rights unique by applying them equally across the country is wrong. I wonder if he would feel the same say about any other constitutional rights.

Democrats support states' rights, but only for constitutionally-enshrined liberties. Otherwise, you'll do as they say.

Yes, districts are apportioned by population. In order to satisfy that requirement and still protect rural voices, districts must be drawn carefully to ensure that rural voters have their say. This isn't rocket science and attempts to distract from this point are telling.

@KUNC may be desperate for a hit piece on Granata, but I expected them to stop short of making things up. Saying that options are on the table but would be less or more preferred to other options is not a back track; it is a statement of preference regarding a previous statement of intention.

@RobertPowellCO is so clueless about what is going on in the Senate that he can't tell when we are voting to pass a bill and when we are voting on a procedural motion. He is not fit for office.

While Senator Powell continues to conflate procedure and substance, the GOP has passed a bill to defend American trade interests in China.

United News Corporation reached out for a comment on why I voted against the stupid motions to suspend the rules in the Senate. Looking forward to the article.

Senator Powell continues to conflate procedural with su stantive in an attempt to deviously spin votes against his frivolous motions to suspend the Senate rules.

The other Senator Tillman's answer to rapidly-declining test scores, high drop-out rates, and all-time low faith in our education system? New textbooks. Might as well slap a fresh coat of paint on there and call it fixed.

Just saw Senator Powell's recent comments in the press. Can anyone figure out what "we have passed bills to be recent future sex crimes" means?

Translation of Senator Powell's press statement from spin to English: the Republican majority aren't asking what we want, but they give us some reasonable success on common sense bills when we ask them for it, but they are bad.

Also, we are so good at being bipartisan as a minority that you should make us majority so we can ram through partisan, divisive policies. If you support bipartisanship, then keep the DNC in the minority.

Schools crumbling to the ground? Teachers lack training and experience? Test scores plummeting? No problem! Just get a new textbook and you will be ok. #JustDemThings

I should clarify: I am not against new textbooks; but that doesn't come close to solving our education crisis and certainly does not fall under the category of "things the President should deal with."

There are legal intricacies that need to be discussed and discerned regarding revenge porn: for example, whether the photographs are the property of the one who took them, or if ownership and rights were transferred to the recipient upon the gifting of the photo. Lots to discuss.

Leaving aside Mr. Ward's discriminatory and hurtful comments which make light of weather that hurts and kills people every year, the fact is that these are questions which need to be debated and discussed on the Senate floor.

@RobertPowellCO exactly. The one who donates the kidney cannot then claim that they have the legal right to control what happens to the kidney. It no longer belongs to them.

Extremely happy to announce my support for Senator Granata to become the next Republican nominee for POTUS. His work ethic and vision are clear. Full statement to come.
